"Wow what a beautiful house! We had a fabulous stay- such a cosy base and well located for day trips. The beds were comfortable and the shower was fabulous (with enough hot water for all four of us!) The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked and the BBQ area was a great addition. We took our kayak with us and spent a day on the river- blessed with some glorious October sunshine!"

"The house is gorgeous, spacious and good value for money during half term. Lovely garden for the dog, space for the kids and me to have downtime of an evening. Shower was amazing! Great location, 12 minutes from Great Yarmouth main attractions and 20 odd minutes away from Norfolk broads."

Location

Located on the East coast of Norfolk, just a few miles from a beautiful area of Norfolk's fabulous coastline. There's a range of beaches within a short drive, with Caister-On-Sea under 4 miles from Church Lane Cottage. An extremely long, sand and pebble beach backed by sand dunes, Caister beach offers a more peaceful seaside experience to the livelier Great Yarmouth.

Great Yarmouth can be reached in around 10-15 minutes from the property and offers a more traditional seaside experience. Arcades, and many seaside amenities line the beach, along with children's amusement park, Joyland, and Sea life centre. The Pleasure Beach offers rides and amusements for older children and adults, famous for the Big Dipper rollercoaster!

For wildlife enthusiasts we would highly recommend a visit to Horsey, a stunning and largely untouched area of Norfolk which offers the rare opportunity during the winter months to see one of the largest sea colonies in the country as they line the beach, ready to give birth to their pups. Horsey Mere is also worth a visit, with picturesque views available from the famous Horsey Mill.

Just a short walk from Church Lane Cottages front door is Filby Broad. Part of the self-contained Trinity Broads network offering a scenic 3 mile walk which circling the broad. Norfolk Schools Sailing Association operate from The Broad and teaches sailing to adults and children.
Close to the property you're able to walk to several restaurants and local eateries, with Filby Bridge restaurant approximately 5-minutes or so walk away. Local pub, The King's Head is around 15-minutes walk from the property, and is a perfect spot for an afternoon tipple. Whilst the Waterside Café/tearoom is close-by and absolutely worth a visit, with scenic views over the water, ideal for those looking to dine out on a lunchtime.
