Family holiday cottage, Hen Barn, is set amongst some of North Norfolk’s most stunning countryside. Popular beaches including Sheringham, West Runton and East Runton can be found just a 10-minute drive away.

The countryside cottage, which was previously part of the Felbrigg estate, also benefits from the convenience of nearby towns such as Holt and Cromer. There is an array of Norfolk beauty spots available to explore, including popular tourist destinations such as Blakeney and Salthouse.

Tucked away within its own grounds, this stunning 3-bedroom barn conversion can accommodate up to 6 guests.

Private on-site parking is included.

 

The space

Hen Barn offers a huge open plan living area consisting of a lounge, kitchen and dining table with seating for all of your guests. A wooden staircase leads to a mezzanine floor perched above the main living area, enclosed by balustrades.

It’s a fantastic space with plenty of room for everyone to be together. The ground floor offers multiple seating areas as well as a flat screen TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, utensils, crockery and cutlery.

Careful renovation, decoration and furnishing leave little to be desired. The entire home is filled with colourful décor and an array of artwork created by the owner and various local artists!

There are 2 double rooms, and 1 twin bedroom with 2 small single beds. The twin room features its own en-suite bathroom with shower. Upstairs is a family bathroom with a corner bath that can optionally open into the 1st double bedroom to function as a second en suite if preferred.

The cottage is set within its own large and peaceful garden, surrounded by trees, it is wonderfully secluded. Guests will relish the peaceful setting and make terrific use of the spacious garden.

Additional Information

The ground floor twin bedroom offers single beds, slightly smaller than the average size.

Please note that the gardener visits twice per week on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

1 well behaved dog is allowed by prior agreement. Dogs must be accompanied inside and outside of the barn and must not be allowed to stray on to neighbouring land at Mill Farm or onto Gresham Estate which is private and has a gamekeeper. Please keep an eye on your pets at all times.

Location

When staying at Hen Barn you will never be short of things to do, with Sheringham National Park and Felbrigg Hall right on your doorstep. The cottage is ideal for families looking to explore North Norfolk.

North Norfolk beaches are at your fingertips with some of the best in the country all easily accessible by car. Only a 10-minute drive away you can you will find the likes of Cromer and Sheringham beaches, as well as less well-known gems such as East and West Runton. Cromer and Sheringham are both wonderful small-medium seaside towns offering an array of shops, cafes, and restaurants to enjoy! Not to mention popular attractions such as the North Norfolk Heritage railway!

Holt, a fine 18th century Georgian market town, is certainly worth a visit. A favourite amongst tourists and locals alike, the town has a unique atmosphere with much to offer including small independent outlets, eating establishments, art galleries, nature trails, Baconsthorpe castle, there’s so much to do and see in and around this wonderful historic town and area.

Further afield you have popular seaside town Wells-Next-The-Sea (35-minute drive) and Holkham bay and nature reserve which is quite possibly one of the best beaches in the UK!

Another favourite, Blakeney Point is about a 25-minute drive away. A terrific nature reserve, which makes for an ideal family day out and a great spot to see the seals with seal watching tours running daily.

Check out by 10am.

A 30% deposit is due at the time of booking with the remaining balance payable 4 weeks before your arrival.
