Christmas is either just around the corner or its ages away depending on what kind of person you are. Perhaps however, something that should get even the biggest grinches among us excited is the North Norfolk Railway Christmas train!
This year is set to be more exciting than ever, with Managing Director Hugh Harkett announcing several big and exciting changes! The train ride begins at Sheringham Station in North Norfolk, where adults and children will be welcomed by a ‘ringmaster’ who will put on a musical performance by Queen. Before sparklers shoot out of his sleeves, signalling the train to ignite into an array of rainbow colours with thousands of bulbs covering the train.
All of the three stations; Sheringham, Weyborne and Holt will be festively decorated with snow machines and glitter balls. Christmas treats will be served aboard the train, including milk and cookies for the children, whilst the parents will have the offer of mince pies and a tipple. Once the train arrives at its destination, children will be welcomed into a Christmas phenomenon with a Santa’s grotto like no other, stunningly decorated with endless Christmas trees and light displays. At the end of the festive walk-through, children will meet old big red himself, and will receive a special present from Father Christmas.
If you’re in Norfolk this Christmas, this is the number one Christmas attraction to treat your family to this Winter!
The service runs from November 20 – December 23, and then from December 27 – 31, leaving at 4:30pm and 7:30pm.
